Pittsylvania County Dog Park

The Pittsylvania County Dog Park opened to the public in August 2018. This dog park is the first of its kind in the county and was entirely funded by private donations from the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region and the Rotary Club of Chatham.

The park sets beside the Pittsylvania Pet Center at 11880 US 29 in Chatham. It has a side for small dogs under 40 pounds and a side for large dogs 40 pounds and over. Amenities include a fido fountain to keep your pet hydrated as well as benches and a large umbrella for shade. Each side also has a retired fire hydrant in the center. Hours of operation are dawn to dusk.
