Massey Cancer Center – Cancer Research and Resource Center

Serving Southern Virginia since 2010, the Cancer Research and Resource Centers (CRRCs) function in two respects.  As research centers, staff work with researchers at state universities to bring research studies to those living in our communities.  As resource centers we provide up-to-date and helpful information on cancer risk reduction, as well as help cut through the clutter and fear of a very stressful diagnosis by directing cancer patients, survivors and their networks of support to reliable sources.  The CRRCs two offices, one in Danville and one in Lawrenceville, are both located along the State Highway 58 corridor. They are outreach offices of the Office of Health Equity and Disparities Research within VCU Massey Cancer Center and are funded by Massey Cancer Center and the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission.
