Leesville Lake

Leesville Lake, VA is part of the Roanoke River Basin. It serves as the lower reservoir for the Smith Mountain Lake hydro-pumped storage facility owned and operated by Appalachian Power Company, a unit of American Electric Company. Leesville Lake, VA is a 3,260-acre reservior with a 100-mile shoreline. It is located in the south central part of Virginia, 55 miles southeast of Roanoke, VA, 38 miles southwest of Lynchburg, VA, and 56 miles north of Danville, VA. Leesville Lake is located in Campbell, Pittsylvania and Bedford Counties.
