The 28th Annual South Boston Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, September 28 in historic downtown South Boston, Virginia from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Harvest Festival is a free community special event sponsored by many great local businesses, industries and community agencies. Join us for a fun filled day of shopping, live music, children’s activities, local entertainment and delicious food. We would love to have you be with us in our town for this special celebration.

Main Street will be the focus of day with crafters along the street with a host of traditional, unique and beautifully handmade items. Look out for Skeedaddle the Clown, who will be making balloon sculptures while strolling the Festival streets. And there will be magic everywhere when you run into Marlo the Magician! Pumpkin Painting is also a great activity for the children…. paint it and take it home. And be sure to try your hand at Scarecrow Making!!! Make it, stuff it and take it home. And let the kids have a bouncing good time in each of the bounce houses.

Throughout the day, continuous live music and entertainment will be found on two stages. Visit Constitution Square where dancers from local dance academies will be performing during the day. As well as many local bands and singers. Just sit back and enjoy the wonderful entertainment at the stage in the center of the festival.

When you get hungry, a wide variety of food can be found in our Food Court! We will have what you are looking for… pork BBQ, wings, huli huli chicken, catfish, crab cakes, chicken teriyaki, hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, candied apples, and funnel cakes. Make sure to stop by Byler’s Ice Cream tent for some delicious homemade ice cream! And don’t forget to get one of those Cinn-Sational Cinnamon Rolls!!!
